A recently published report from Morgan Stanley indicates the continuation of success for emerging markets as they approach the end of the business cycle.
The report describes the "emerging markets business cycle" in five distinct phases: productive growth, misallocation, adjustment, restoring macro stability, and gradual recovery.
Morgan Stanley estimated the GDP growth of emerging markets to increased to 3.8 per cent from 2.7 in 2017. Together, emerging markets make up 37 per cent of the global GDP.
