Why entrepreneurs are integral to Emerging Markets

Judith Pryor, Vice President of the Office of External Affairs at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, wrote in the Silicon Valley Business Journal regarding the importance of entrepreneurs in emerging market countries.

Pryor cited examples of entrepreneurs and early adopters successfully adapting in emerging markets, from mobile payments in Africa to microfinance loans in India.

Pryor also argued the importance of entrepreneurship in connecting people from all over the world, and leveling the economic playing field for emerging markets and industrialised nations.
