Bond ETFs point to Emerging Markets Upside

Recent gains by stocks and exchange traded funds (ETFs) may point to an upside for emerging markets. 

While the global economic outlook remains negative, the soft dollar has allowed emerging market ETFs to build up foreign reserves and flexible exchange rates rather than dollar debt.

Three of the best-performing ETFs are the PowerShares Emerging Markets Sovereign Debt Portfolio; the iShares J.P. Morgan USD Emerging Markets ETF; and the Vanugard Emerging Markets Government Bond ETF.
