World Bank Cuts Growth Forecasts for Largest Emerging Markets

The World Bank today announced reduced growth forecasts for the world's largest emerging markets today for the third straight year. The forecast is down by 0.4 percentage point to 2.9% but still higher than last year's rate of 2.6%. The revision was made due to market contractions in Brazil and Russia combined with weaker output by the U.S. and China.
